my winter skin secrets

winter skin sercretsSince the cold weather doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon (ugh), I’m still very much in my winter routine when it comes to skin care. These four products have saved my face (literally) this winter, and can be used all year around when necessary!

Lush Lip Scrub: If you ask me, there’s nothing worse than dry, flaky lips. I actually can’t believe I didn’t start using this product until this year. This lip scrub is delicious, and you need barley any. I’ve had the same jar for about 4 months and I’ve barley made a dent. You just get a little on your finger tip, rub it on your lips and lick it off! It gets rid of the dry skin on your lips and leaves them smooth and ready for your favourite lipstick. Lush has a whole line of these, in all kinds of crazy amazing flavours, there’s something for everyone.

Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rosé: This is what I use immediately after my lip scrub. And again and again throughout the day and night. The light pink colour is perfect and it is so unbelievably smooth. (The Vanilla & Macadamia Nut one is amazing too).

Pure Vitamin E Oil: Vitamin E is what we’re all after in our moisturizers, so why not go to the source? It is a bit thick and sticky, but it is perfect for those days your skin needs a lot of TLC. Use it at night, instead of a night cream once a week and you will have silky smooth skin. I like to use it under my eyes every couple of days and it’s great for dry cuticles too.

Nivea Creme: There is nothing better. Honestly. For your hands, your face, your body. It’s so rich and wonderful. I use this on my face after every time I wash it, even in the mornings before I apply my makeup. (Tip: put it on before you dry your hair so it gives it some time to soak in before you use any other products or cosmetics).

What are some of your favourite skin care products for the cold winter months?
