simple & delicious crêpes
I found this recipe somewhere online a while ago, and I’ve been making these pretty regularly ever since. You’ll likely have all the ingredients you need in your cupboards already.
They’re perfect for a late breakfast on a lazy Sunday.
WHAT YOU NEED
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 tsp salt
2 tablespoons of melted butter
sugar & cinnamon (optional, but highly recommended.)
In a big mixing bowl, mix together the flour and eggs. Gradually mix in the milk and water, stirring everything together. Add the salt and butter and mix everything together until it is nice and smooth.
Put a bit of oil into a large frying pan and heat to medium high heat. Pour the batter into the heated pan (use more or less, depending on how big you want your crêpes to be), and tilt the pan in a circle to spread out the batter. (Mine always end up a funny shape, not quite circular, but I mean, who cares. They taste just as amazing).
Cook each crêpe for about a minute, until the bottom is a little brown. Flip and cook the other side and serve while they’re hot. I like to sprinkle sugar and sometimes a bit of cinnamon on them to make them extra tasty!
Tip: If you’re making a big batch, grab a cookie sheet and turn your oven on low. Once a crêpe is done, put it on the cookie sheet in the oven and keep them warm until the whole batch is done and ready to serve!
